With today's update of iConnectHue (App Store Link) to version 4.2 there are exciting news. The team around the developer Stefan Göhler has integrated a weekend mode, which gives you even more possibilities to configure switches, motion sensors and geofencing. In this way, a switch or motion sensor can operate differently on weekdays than on weekends.
About four weeks after the big update with support for Dolby Vision, voice assistants and infrared remote controls, Signify is pushing another small update for the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box via the Hue Sync App. You can now download version 1.11.0 of the app from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

We've been waiting for a really long time, but now it's finally arrived: In a press release, Signify has announced that the promised major update for the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box is now available. It includes a lot of new features that I will definitely take a closer look at over the next few days.
What a joy to see Philips Hue introduce a new generation of its GU10 spots last fall. The new White and Color Ambiance Spots have been given a more compact design, are brighter and offer improved color rendering, so they are superior to their predecessors in all respects.
Hue Essentials (App Store link) is at the top of our readers' poll. Besides iConnectHue for iOS and the official Philips Hue app, Hue Essentials is also used by many readers.
Since last summer, Philips Hue has also been offering lamps with additional Bluetooth connectivity. This is interesting for beginners and owners of the Hue Go. Hue Bluetooth products are also an interesting solution for the children's room.
Have you already equipped your Bridge with the firmware version 19370450000? Then it is worth taking another look at the update section of the Hue app. There is also new software for many White Ambiance and White and Color Ambiance fixtures – Signify points this out in the release notes on the US website.
Just a small side note from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Yesterday, a little update was released for the official Philips Hue App, which brought back a small feature. This might be relevant for some users though.
It's been almost two years since Philips Hue released a big update for its app. Since then some new features have been added but in visual terms, everything has remained the same. Smart lamps are also available from other manufacturers – and in this case, LIFX is showing how modern and useful such an app might look like.
