Hueblog: Philips Hue 5.24 without any major new features

Philips Hue 5.24 without any major new features

Bugfix for Bluetooth problems

After a steady stream of small new functions in recent weeks, such as starting automations via switches, an integrated search for rooms, zones and light sources, or automatic alarms for the Hue Secure System, today’s update for the Philips Hue app leaves us empty-handed.

For the sake of completeness, however, I would like to mention the update to version 5.24 of the Philips Hue app. ‘Added a fix for users experiencing Bluetooth connectivity issues’, according to the update description. The update should therefore be of little relevance to most of us.

Further firmware update for the Hue Bridge

Since 15 August, Philips Hue has also been rolling out new firmware for the Hue Bridge. These are the new features of the software version 196606010:

  • Implemented bug fixes and enhancements to the Go to Sleep automation.
  • Improved performance and reliability of the system.
