Today is Sunday, which means it’s time for my little weekly review. However, since things were a little quiet around Christmas, there isn’t really any news that we can revisit here. Instead, I’d like to take a look at what we can hopefully expect in early 2026. Now that the new Hue Flux light strips have been on the market for a few weeks and are already being sold at really good prices, for example in Europe in the Christmas sale, we can expect additional accessories in the coming months.
The new light strips have been available in stores for a few weeks now, and I’ve already tried them out. Since day one, I’ve been getting questions about one topic in particular. What about accessories for the new light strips? Unfortunately, you’ll have to be patient a little longer. The accessories were originally supposed to be released in December, but that’s not going to happen.
Philips Hue launched a bunch of new light strips this fall – at least in Europe. One of them is the Hue Flux, which comes in two different versions. In addition to the “normal” Flux light strip in five different lengths from 3 to 10 meters, there is also the particularly bright Hue Flux Ultra Bright Lightstrip.
A quick glance at the calendar tells us that Black Friday isn’t actually until November 28. At Philips Hue, the Black Friday sale has already started today. You can visit the promotion page already via my link. And there are some very attractive offers to be found there, including new products such as the Hue Bridge Pro and the new Hue Flux Lightstrips.
Philips Hue is launching a whole range of new light strips this fall. The Hue Flux Lightstrip, its ultra-bright sibling, and the magnificent Hue Omniglow Lightstrip are already available. In December, two more light strips from the Hue Essential series will be added, which we still need to take a closer look at.
The Hue Flux Lightstrip is something like the new all-rounder from Philips Hue. My first impression was already very positive, and another version is set to be released soon in the form of the ultra-bright Hue Flux Lightstrip. However, I did ask myself one question during the presentation in September: What about extensions for the two new light strips?
The new Hue Flux Lightstrip has been available since mid-September and performed very well in my initial hands-on. The ultra-bright version of the Hue Flux Lightstrip is set to launch shortly. It has a maximum brightness of 6,000 lumens. It can produce almost 1,000 lumens per meter. No Philips Hue light strip has ever been this bright.
This week was a whirlwind, at least for all Hue fans in Europe. On Tuesday, the Hue Flux Lightstrip was launched, initially in lengths of 3 and 4 meters. I ordered the new light strip right away and was able to give you my first detailed impressions on Wednesday. Feel free to take another look at my review.
Philips Hue unveiled seven new light strips at the beginning of the month, the first of which is now available in Europe. You can already buy the Hue Flux Lightstrip in lengths of 3, 4, 5, and 10 meters, but the six-meter version is not yet available. Nevertheless, the light strip has gotten off to an early start; it was actually supposed to be released in October.

However, at least two of the five announced lengths have now been released much sooner than planned—they are already available for purchase in Europe.
