Last week, I reported about a firmware update for all older Hue lights without Bluetooth. After installing the update, it was possible to dim the light even more. An innovation that led to many satisfied voices. But there is also a small problem connected with it.
The Hue Smart Button is one of the most exciting new releases in recent years. After the Hue Tap and the Hue dimmer switch, it is only the third switch to be launched directly by Philips Hue.
Have you already equipped your Bridge with the firmware version 19370450000? Then it is worth taking another look at the update section of the Hue app. There is also new software for many White Ambiance and White and Color Ambiance fixtures – Signify points this out in the release notes on the US website.

Smart filament lamps are now available from numerous manufacturers. My current favourites are the White Ambiance filament lamps from Müller-Licht which will probably make it into the shops this month. Their release date is scheduled for March 24th.
Just a small side note from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. Yesterday, a little update was released for the official Philips Hue App, which brought back a small feature. This might be relevant for some users though.

The Philips Hue Smart Button has found many fans in recent weeks, even though it is very resource-intensive and expensive. Today, I would like to point out a function that the Hue Smart Button does not yet implement in a good way. It’s all about the dimming function which is actually quite well integrated.
