It feels like half an eternity, but it’s only been three and a half years since Philips Hue launched its first outdoor products. In June 2018, the Calla base light launched alongside the Lily garden spotlight. Now, in spring 2022, one of the founding members of the Hue Outdoor family is available in a new look: the Hue Calla with a stainless steel housing.

Last week, a reader brought the Dutch manufacturer EcoDim to my attention. Located just over the German border, EcoDim unfortunately does not yet offer its products in Germany, but our friends from Holland were kind enough to provide me with a set of their filament lamps with ZigBee. The lamps with E27 bases all have White Ambiance technology, the colour temperature can be adjusted from 1,800 to 5,000 Kelvin.
