FabianA few weeks ago, Philips Hue scored a classic own goal when brief and concise product descriptions for three new Philips Hue Festavia models—along with an image—were published on its own website. Now, Obi.ch is providing us with further details on the new Festavia models.
Three new versions of the Hue Festavia are in the works, two of which are already listed on Obi.ch for 224.95 Swiss francs. Prices for the Eurozone are typically converted directly, so we can expect them to be around 220 to 230 euros.
An overview of the key technical specifications for the three new Festavia models
- Hue Festavia Icicles (8.85 x 0.5 meters)
- Hue Festavia Net (3.5 x 1 meter)
- Hue Festavia Curtain (1.35 x 2 meters)
All three models, just like the 20-meter-long classic Hue Festavia, are equipped with 250 LEDs each. Philips Hue hasn’t skimped on cable length either—it’s a full 4.5 meters to the first LED. Additionally, with the low-voltage system, you still have the option to connect an extension cable between the power supply and the controller or even integrate the Festavia into an existing outdoor installation.
Another interesting observation: For the first time, the Hue Festavia is available with “transparent” or light-colored cables and bulbs—we can clearly see this in the detailed images of icicles and light curtains. The classic Hue Festavia for the Christmas tree featured completely dark cables. I strongly suspect that this will also apply to the Hue Festavia Light Net—after all, it’s also designed for outdoor installation.
The new Festavia models come with the familiar 30-watt outdoor power adapter, making all products suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation. They also include small mounting brackets designed to simplify installation.

The Philips Hue Festavia Curtain transforms any window, wall, or balcony into a mood-setting sea of lights. Thanks to its IP54 protection rating, the curtain is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and remains weatherproof year-round. The 250 LEDs produce vibrant color gradients in RGB as well as warm- to cool-white light and can be individually customized for any season, occasion, or mood. When paired with a Hue Bridge, additional dynamic effects such as twinkling stars, dancing flames, or a gentle, candle-like flicker are available.
