On Thursday, Philips Hue released another update for its official app, as it does nearly every two weeks. There are no new features this time, but there are a few minor optimizations.
First up are the new wired wall switch modules. These could already be paired with version 5.69, but now some translations and details have likely been further improved. Philips Hue tells us (unsurprisingly):
“Philips Hue Wired wall switch lets you add traditional lights to your Hue setup. Control them your way—from the app, your wall switch, or with voice. Set automations, add lights to scenes—no batteries required.”
There’s also a tiny change to the automations. Philips Hue has renamed the “Custom” menu item to “Lighting Schedule.” However, this change only applies when adding new automations; the description hasn’t been updated yet in the overview of existing automations. Well, there are worse things…
