FabianAn interesting comment from a reader drew my attention to a small but noteworthy innovation in the official Philips Hue app. There is now a third colour circle that has been specially created for scenes.
Up to now, there have been two colour circles in the Hue app. One is the familiar “colour picker”, where you can move the light points to a colour of your choice. And then the colour wheel for white tones, where warm white and cool white colour temperatures can be set.
What the new colour selection in the Hue app can do
If you activate a scene with coloured light in your room, for example Soho or Chinatown from the Hue light scene gallery, you can select a third colour wheel when you tap a lamp.
The special feature: This colour wheel only shows colour tones that occur in the scene. This allows you to customise your light even better without changing the character of the scene.
