Hue Flux light strips have been available in Europe for quite some time, and they are set to launch in North America in March. However, we’ve had to wait for the matching accessories, which Philips Hue unveiled back in September at the major IFA event in Berlin. Now the time has finally come: the connectors and extensions are available in the Philips Hue online store and should also be available in stores soon.
Not yet available in all countries
The Flux accessory is available in most European countries. There still seem to be some problems in some stores, for example in the Netherlands. Hopefully it will be available there in a few days.
Today, I would like to give you a detailed overview of the various products and their uses. At the end of the article, you will also find a video in which I show you some of the Flux connectors in detail. Important to know: All products are compatible with the Hue Flux Lightstrip and the Hue Flux ultra-bright Lightstrip.

With these practical connectors, cut-off Flux pieces or extensions can be laid around corners at 90 degrees. You can turn right or left. Perfect for mounting on the ceiling or under cabinets.

For more complex installations, you can use the flexible connectors. These can be used to bridge 50 centimeters that should not be illuminated. This allows you to perfectly highlight shelves or stair steps.

If your light strip is not long enough, you can extend it by 2, 5, or 10 meters. Officially, up to 20 meters are possible. Each extension comes with a connector for easy installation.

What happens when you connect low brightness version extension to ultra bright light or vice-versa?
The LED-strip itself is the same for both versions of the Flux.
Why are they available on the online store but not available to order? (In the UK)
John, i found the same that in the UK the products were shown in the hue store but not available to purchase. However, they are available on Amazon UK Philips store.
I have purchased via Amazon 21st Feb the 2 x 5m extension and 3 packs of the 10 fixings which currently have a ETA of 1st March.
They are at an inflated price (presume due to shipping costs integrated if coming from Eindhoven) and there is a note that the specification per country may differ but all being well they arrive as scheduled and usable for the flux products I have purchased.
Hope this helps
I ordered through Amazon UK, originally arriving 6th March, now arriving tomorrow – 28th Feb!! Great service as ever from Amazon, sent multiple emails and messages to Philips, kept saying ‘no news on launch date’, poor show Hue UK, you know exactly when your stock is due, but choose to keep customers in the dark…!
Can you connect two 50cm extension together to make 100cm? If not, can we splice them? Worst case connect a small 16.6cm segment to two connected and you have 116.6cm??
I have a 10m Hue Flux for indirect ceiling lighting.
My flat has a scope of approx 16m.
So I bought to 3m basic kits.
All of this happened before I even knew that there is going to be a FLUX connector.
So after research, I found out that there was a FLUX connector but not yet available.
After 1 month of waiting, I finally found one.
I tried to install it, so I cut the 3m strip after 16cm (marked piece), connected, and it’s not working.
I don’t know what I have done wrong, but you cannot do much wrong there I think.
