It’s hard to believe that the year is almost over. Only 10 days left until 2026. Before we get to that point and start speculating about what Philips Hue will bring to market in the new calendar year, I’d like to take a look back with you. Which new Philips Hue product did you like best this year?

As we all know, there’s no shortage of choice. Five new light strips are already available in Germany and Europe, including the high-quality Hue OmniGlow Lightstrip and the comparatively inexpensive Hue Flux Lightstrip. The latter even comes in two different versions, one of which is particularly bright.

Or is your favorite perhaps the Hue Bridge Pro? The new control center can handle significantly more devices, no longer needs to be connected to the router via cable, and even offers an exclusive feature called MotionAware, which allows you to turn three or four lamps in a room into a motion detector.

Philips Hue has not only made improvements in the “Pro” direction, but is also launching new affordable products with the new Hue Essential series. Two light strips are yet to be launched, but the affordable E27 bulbs and GU10 spotlights are already available. Four bulbs for $59.99 – that’s something we’re not used to seeing from Philips Hue.

A whole new product category has also been developed: the Hue Secure Doorbell is the first video doorbell from Philips Hue. It scores points with its great connection to the Hue system and an easy-to-configure light alarm.

Feel free to write in the comments which new Hue product you particularly liked this year. Please include a brief explanation. That would be more than helpful for my year in review.

Over the last few years, I've become a real expert when it comes to Hue & HomeKit. I now have over 50 lamps and numerous switches in use. I'm happy to share my experiences with you in my little blog.
