Another Philips Hue product announced in January is now available in Germany and many other European countries: The pendant light cord for filament lamps. Available in two different versions for 59.99 or 69.99 euros and in two colours each.

The price is definitely on a par with Hue, and the production of the pendant lights is also quite special. “The pendant light cord for filament lamps is made from recycled materials. It was produced using a 3D printer from biocircular materials such as biomass and natural waste,” reads the product description.

One thing that should definitely be mentioned again when looking at the price: no bulb is included. Instead, you have to use an E27 bulb of your choice; the pendant lights naturally look best with a Hue Filament lamp.

The medium-sized pendant light has a 16.5-centimetre body, while the large model has a 22.5-centimetre body. The maximum length from the ceiling to the bottom of the body is 175 centimetres.

If you are simply looking for a cord to hang a single lamp, you can of course find much cheaper alternatives on the high street; I have already found corresponding offers for €16.99 on Amazon. However, these are made in the classic way and not from recycled materials from the 3D printer.
