In December 2022, Philips Hue launched its first automatically running scene: Natural Light. This scene uses different shades of warm to cool white light that are automatically adjusted throughout the day. “Start with bright, cool shades to energize you in the morning and end the day with a warmer, golden hue to help you relax in the evening,” Philips Hue writes about the Natural Light scene.
A generous member of a social media group around Philips Hue has now shared a screenshot from the Hue app showing two new “All-Day Scenes”: Golden Hours and Nature’s Colors. These two new 24-hour scenes are apparently currently in beta testing and should be released soon.
Golden Hours and Nature’s Colors are coming to the Philips Hue app
I did a little sleuthing afterwards and found out a few more details. The upcoming Golden Hours scene appears to be a slightly more pronounced version of the previous natural light. The day should start here with soft morning tones and ring in the evening with the more relaxed glow of the golden hour. Here, too, there is an automatic change between the colors throughout the day, whereby it will be possible to edit the time windows again.
The second new All-Day-Scene called Natur’s Colors is supposed to be inspired by the colors of nature, but I don’t know the exact color gradient yet.
I could well imagine that the next few weeks will see a flurry of software updates for the Philips Hue app. These two new 24-hour scenes should be launched soon, and an update for Hue Secure has already been promised for the end of November. In addition, multi-bridge support is still pending, which is also due to be released in 2024.

I wish Philips would add a 24-hour scene that uses the colours from their non-Hue SmartSwitch bulbs. Those adjust between daylight (5,000 K), cool white (4,000 K), neutral white (3,500 K), warm white (3,000 K), and soft white (2,700 K).
Great, but the current 24hr scenes do not “change color”, for me and other on the net… Tried everything too!
Getting that not fit for purpose feeling!
Expected so much more from Philips; questioning my investment!!!
