Yesterday afternoon, Philips Hue released another update for its in-house app. Version 4.48 is here and brings two small innovations – one concerns the motion sensors and was already a topic on our blog yesterday at noon. But that’s not all, Philips Hue has another improvement in store. And this could be particularly interesting for you if you use the “Natural Light” scene.
With the update to version 4.46 released today, the Philips Hue app is to receive a new function that will make the interactive “Natural Light” scene a little better. In future, it will not only be possible to set fixed times for the individual light settings. Philips Hue writes in the update description: “You can now set the Natural light scene to automatically adjust to your local sunset time.
More than a year after the original announcement, Philips Hue unlocked the new Natural Light feature yesterday. A 24-hour scene that provides the optimal white light throughout the different times of the day. Cool, activating white tones in the morning and relaxed warm white in the evening. The first big problem: Natural Light can so far only be activated manually in the app.
Last year, Philips Hue already announced the new “Natural Light” feature. After a bit of a false start in the summer, the new feature is finally available with the release of version 4.32 of the Philips Hue app. I would like to briefly introduce you to what you can expect. This is how Philips Hue explains its new feature Natural light uses different shades of warm-to-cool white light that are designed to help you stay productive and feel supported in your overall wellbeing.
A small thanks goes to Hueblog reader Sebastian, because I had actually not yet discovered this new feature in the Hue app. And I can imagine that Philips Hue hasn’t planned for this long-awaited feature to be accessible yet either. Update on 17 July: It seems that Philips Hue has removed the search from the Hue Light Scene Gallery via remote maintenance.
After the major update of the Hue app in early summer, which was not immediately well received by all users, the Philips Hue development team provided us with numerous exciting updates in the second half of the year. Especially the dynamic scenes and the gradient function are worth mentioning here. However, we have been waiting in vain for one function so far: natural light.
