After its brilliant appearance last year, the Philips Hue Festavia disappeared from the scene in the past nine months. Now the string lights are back in time for Christmas and bring along some new features, which I would like to present to you today in a short article. The biggest innovation apart from the increased prices: The Philips Hue Festavia is no longer only available with 250 LEDs distributed over 20 metres, but also with 500 LEDs over 40 metres and 100 LEDs over 8 metres.
Last year it was announced at the last minute and was sold out after a short time. We are talking about the Philips Hue Festavia, string lights for the Christmas tree. During the IFA, Philips Hue announced the return of the gadget as well as completely new possibilities. After there was only one model of the Philips Hue Festavia with 250 LEDs distributed over a length of 20 metres in 2022, you will have more choice in 2023.
Next week Philips Hue will introduce new products. The opportunity will also be taken to announce the return of the popular Festavia string lights, which will be available in stores as early as mid-September. But not only that: we also already know that, in addition to the familiar 20-metre-long string of lights, there will also be a model twice as long with 500 LEDs.
Last year, Philips Hue launched its first Festavia string lights at the last minute, with sales at the time limited to the company’s own online shop. This year, they have a little more time for preparations – and it will be exciting in more ways than one. We already clarified a few weeks ago that there will be three versions.
Last November, Philips Hue surprised us at the last minute with the Festavia string lights. Just before Christmas, the small colourful LEDs for the Christmas tree went on sale – and were completely sold out within a few days. This status has not changed so far. However, there is a surprising announcement from Switzerland: There, the Festavia is currently available again in the official online shop of Philips Hue and is even sold with a discount of 10 percent for the first time.
A glance at the calendar reveals that the time until Christmas is now shorter than the time since Christmas. In less than half a year, we’ll be putting up Christmas trees in our living rooms again. And of course, the right lighting can’t be missing. Last November, Philips Hue launched its smart Festavia string lights at the very last minute.
Christmas is over and by now almost all Christmas trees have disappeared from our living rooms. We also took everything down a week ago – and first of all, the Festavia light chain disappeared back into the box. My second Philips Hue Festavia is still hanging outside on the tree and has survived two months in the wild without any damage, although officially no outdoor use is intended.
Today Philips Hue introduced its first chain of lights, the Festavia. And the manufacturer from Eindhoven assures that they are ready for the Christmas season: from Friday, 11 November 2022, the Philips Hue Festavia should be available for order in the official online shop. Delivery should then take place the following week.
