You have also already seen the new, affordable Philips Hue Solo Lightstrip. Today, Philips Hue has made its new products for June 2024 official – and I would like to take a first look with you.

5 metres for under 100 euros

Philips Hue is apparently about to launch a new light strip. A major American retailer had already briefly listed a Hue Solo Lightstrip with a length of 5 metres. The price is particularly interesting: 89.99 US dollars are listed there. Including taxes, this corresponds to a price of around 100 euros for the German market.

The next new product

I’ve already told you that the launch of new GU10 spotlights and Lightguide lamps is imminent. However, Philips Hue probably has another new product in the pipeline, a bedside lamp to be precise. Govee shows the way

Finally, I read in the comments that other smart lighting manufacturers are on the rise. Among others, Govee was mentioned here. I have to agree in part: Individual products are certainly impressive, but when it comes to the entire ecosystem, Philips Hue is still miles ahead of the competition. What’s more, the Govee app is still not particularly user-friendly.

Now up to 680 lumens bright

Innr launched its first outdoor spotlights back in 2020, but at 230 lumens they were not particularly bright. The subsequent hardware revision with 290 lumens was also unable to keep up with the Hue Lily spots, which reach 640 lumens. And with the Hue Lily XL, Philips Hue even has a 1,050 lumen outdoor spotlight on sale, which at 159.99 euros is not exactly cheap either.
