FabianIf you also use the Philips Hue Secure Video Doorbell or another Philips Hue smart camera, you can now enjoy a small but handy new feature. In the event history, you can now switch to the next or previous clip even faster.
Instead of always jumping back to the overview and then selecting the next video, you can now simply swipe left and right to go to the previous or next video. Just like you’re used to in the Photos app on your iPhone, for example.
This is truly just a small update, but it definitely makes things much easier to use. Additional software updates for Hue Secure are currently still in development.

While integration with Apple Home has been postponed for now—Philips Hue was unfortunately unable to provide me with more specific details—two other features are expected to be released soon.
The “ding-dong” sound when someone rings the doorbell will soon be replaceable with voice announcements in various languages. For example, a message like “please just leave the package at the door.”
Also announced a long time ago and now apparently almost ready is the call feature. Instead of a push notification, you’ll soon be able to receive a video call with the Hue Secure Video Doorbell. It’s hard to miss, but might be a bit annoying if you’re at home and go to the door. Fortunately, you’ll be able to decide for yourself which option you prefer.
Also in development (finally) is a geofencing feature to easily turn Hue Secure on and off. A feature that, in my opinion, is long overdue…
