Just a few days ago, I came across a question on social media asking about Easter scenes in the Philips Hue app. Unfortunately, our favorite lighting manufacturer can’t provide those, but at least there are now eight refreshing scenes in the “Spring Breeze” category in the Hue app, which you can find right at the top of the Hue Light Scenes gallery. Also included is the “24-hour” scene “The Colors of Nature”.

If that’s not enough to get you in the right Easter mood, iConnectHue for iPhone and iPad has the perfect scenes. With the latest update, eight magical scenes have been unlocked, which you can use for free until mid-April.

These include Pastel Eggs, Eggs Nest, and Classic Shells. You definitely can’t get any more Easter-y than this with your Philips Hue lighting. But what exactly are these magical scenes all about? Developer Stefan Göhler explains them as follows:

Magical scenes are generic scenes that you can create once and use anywhere: for rooms, zones, or color gradients. They let you create amazing color gradients in just a few steps, which you can customize to your liking. You don’t need to move every single light on your color wheel. Instead, you move the entire scene around the lights until you reach your goal.

I wouldn’t necessarily buy the €4.99 universal app just for the Easter scenes. But if you’ve already downloaded iConnectHue from the App Store, feel free to check it out and try the magical Easter scenes. Maybe they’ll set just the right mood for the long weekend. Aside from that, iConnectHue is, of course, perfectly suited for configuring Philips Hue switches and sensors exactly to your liking.
