iConnectHue 5.9 brings improved switch editor with new functions

Configure Hue even more easily

There is yet another new update for iConnectHue, probably the most comprehensive app for configuring the Philips Hue system. With version 5.9, German developer Stefan Göhler delivers a new switch editor that makes the selection of available actions for a button press even clearer.

“Our switch editor has been given a glow-up,” the developer tells us. “Many details such as better tutorials make everything easier.” In addition, you can now use numerous new actions and customize the Hue system even better.

Here are the new options for switches that iConnectHue offers with version 5.9

  • Set color for single lights
  • Adjust brightness for single lights
  • Let single lights blink
  • Adjust the color temperature relatively (Pro)
  • Stop Hue Entertainment
  • Group blink now works with most other group actions

While the new switch editor is available free of charge for all users, the new functions are only available for members and anyone with a 2025 upgrade or when purchasing iConnectHue in 2025.

Other new features in iConnectHue

  • Magical Easter scenes until the end of April
  • Reset the fade time in the switch editor via the reset icon
  • Support for new lights
  • Lock screen icon is back (blame iOS 18.3 for the hiccup)
  • Fixes and stability improvements to keep everything smooth
