Philips Hue rolls out firmware update for the Hue Bridge

With “Do not disturb” feature for sensors

Philips Hue has been offering another firmware update for its Bridge since last week. With software version 1966117030, the long-lost “Do not disturb my scene” function, which was previously part of the now discontinued Hue Labs, is also set to return.

At the moment, I assume that this function will be rolled out slowly. Although my Hue Bridge has already updated itself, I have not yet been able to discover the function. However, several readers have already told me over the weekend that the function has already appeared in the sensor settings.

Incidentally, this is not the only new feature that Philips Hue intends to introduce with the new Bridge firmware. Here is an overview of the complete release notes:

  • Added support for the Do not disturb feature for indoor and outdoor motion sensors, cameras, and device groups.
  • Added support for all Hue and Friends of Hue switches to be able to start and stop Timers and Mimic presence automations.
  • Improved performance and reliability of the system.

Feel free to let us know in the comments and tell us whether you’ve already noticed the new features.

  1. This fixed an issue I was having after upgrading to ios18, tvos 18, HomePod software 18 where devices were not responding in the Home App. They were responding when using the Hue App.

  2. I noticed a firmware update pending for for many lamps and even the smart plug to v1.122.2
Can’t find the release notes but guessing the smart plug getting an update it must be some stability thing 😅

    1. Technically the smart plug is just an on off light.

I guess the update is for the upcoming new effects.
