iConnectHue received another update yesterday and you can now download version 5.7 from the App Store on iPhone and iPad. And there is some interesting news, as four new effects from Philips Hue are already available in the third-party app.
So if you can’t wait any longer to use Cosmos, Underwater, Enchant and Sunbeam in the Hue app, the new effects are now available in iConnectHue – but only for members or with a 2024 package.
Developer Stefan Göhler also gives us the following note: “Please note that their availability depends on whether you have the latest Bridge firmware (1.66), your lights support them and whether Philips has released them for your Bridge. If they are not currently available, try searching for a new firmware and/or give it a few days until they are announced by Philips themselves.”
Halloween scenes unlocked in iConnectHue
If you want to prepare yourself and your home for Halloween, you can now find eight spooky Halloween animations in iConnectHue. The animations are available to everyone free of charge. With a membership or the animation upgrade, you can also use them with motion sensors, switches or timers.
Other changes in iConnectHue 5.7
- The old, classic widgets can no longer be offered with iOS 18. However, the new widgets offer more functions anyway.
- Hue Twilight: added support for 2 additional model types; if it was not shown in your device list, it should now appear
