Hue Essentials: Premium version now with 50 percent discount

Bugs fixed in the new Mac version

Earlier this week I was able to report that Hue Essentials is now also available for download in the Mac App Store. However, the new app wouldn’t start on our Macs – and we had no idea why. In the meantime, the developers from the Netherlands have found the error and fixed it: It was due to older versions of macOS.

In the meantime, the app also runs on my Mac and makes it possible to control lamps directly from the desktop. Some functions, such as configuring accessories, are unfortunately not yet included in the current function.

If you would like to try out Hue Essentials, whether on iPhone, iPad or Mac, you can download the application free of charge. There are two in-app purchases for the full range of functions: the premium functions and the multi-bridge support.

The support for the simultaneous control of several bridges costs 3.99 euros. The premium functions are normally unlocked for 5.99 euros, but until the end of the week you only pay half the price. You can unlock the “full version” of Hue Essentials for 2.99 euros.
