The Philips Hue Calla is a very special model in the Philips Hue range. After all, it was the first outdoor model of the manufacturer, in the summer of 2018 it came onto the market together with the Hue Lily. That was three and a half years ago by now.
In January, Philips Hue will introduce another model of the Hue Calla. In addition to the familiar anthracite look, there will also be a model in silver. Stainless steel will presumably be used as the material.
The “new” Calla is again part of the low-voltage system. As an extension without a power supply unit, but with a low-voltage cable and a T-piece, it will cost 109.99 euros – 10 euros more than the Calla in anthracite.
Probably no product fireworks in January
The maximum power consumption is again stated at 8 watts. So there seems to have been no change to the LED unit, so we can assume a maximum brightness of 640 lumens – whereby this refers to a white colour setting at 4,000 Kelvin.
Unfortunately, I can’t tell you whether there will be any other new releases in January besides the Calla. There will probably not be a huge product launch, because there are still enormous delivery problems with the new releases from the past months.
