Philips Hue will be offering its own security cameras this autumn. One thing is already certain: With prices starting at 199.99 euros, the Philips Hue products are among the most expensive smart home cameras on the market. However, the integration into the Hue system is particularly intelligently solved, as we would like to explain to you today using the motion sensor as an example.
Motion sensors are a really great thing. They can automatically switch on the light depending on the brightness and time of day when you move through the room. In my home, I have activated a motion sensor in the stairwell that activates a night light for 30 seconds at night, for example.
Before we can provide big news regarding the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box in October and two exciting products on the market with the new Hue Go and the Hue Smart Button, Philips Hue provides us with a small software update regarding the motion sensor. In its revised version 3.30.0 of the Hue app, more possibilities for the motion sensor were added.
In my opinion, the Philips Hue motion detector makes a lot of sense, especially in passageways. Instead of switching the light on and off again shortly afterwards, you simply let it do it automatically. But there are also many users who have installed the motion detector in their living room, dining room or kitchen.
