It has been more than a year since Philips Hue introduced dynamic scenes. Since the launch in September 2021, numerous functions have been added, such as speed adjustment or, most recently, automatic activation. As I have now learned, there should soon be another improvement that actually also has major implications for practice.
We have been waiting for the Natural Light feature in the Hue app since 2021. Earlier this year, I was able to tell you that the new feature is coming later. Then in July it was briefly available, but it was a bug and not an intended release of the feature.
Yesterday evening, Philips Hue released another update for its app. Version 4.29 is now available in the App Store. Attentive readers will notice that version 4.28 has been omitted. According to my information, there were major problems with this version, so it was not even considered for release. However, Apple users in particular have to pay attention to one detail. To share a scene, first activate it and then tap on the three small dots next to the scene icon.

If you don't have a bridge yet and have been relying on the Philips Hue Bluetooth App, there is interesting news for you. With the update to version 1.37.0, you can now transfer all paired lamps to the “normal” Philips Hue app with a tap of your finger. This has offered Bluetooth support for some time and should make the separate app superfluous.
There is certainly more to come from Philips Hue this year. Among other things, the launch of the new Philips Hue Go and the Perifo track system are on the agenda. There are also likely to be further announcements around IFA. But the Philips Hue software development team is not resting on its laurels either.
