FabianThe year 2020 is a very special one, we should all have noticed that by now. Actually, I would have left next week to visit the International Consumer Electronics Fair in Berlin for the tenth time in a row. This year, it is taking place on a much smaller scale and as a pure press event. I would even have been able to get a ticket, but I will not be attending IFA-light.
Whether Philips Hue would have taken part in a normal IFA, we will probably never know. Last year, the company had already decided not to attend IFA and preferred to present its new products to selected members of the press outside the trade fair.
I was already able to tell you a few weeks ago what we can expect this fall, including an improved version of the Hue Iris and an E14 lamp in a compact format. I expect these new products to be officially presented in the course of the coming week.
However, as I have now learned, there is even more to come. Philips Hue has a number of other new products in store that were definitely not expected in this form. Unfortunately I can’t give you any details at this time, but especially users of Hue Entertainment can look forward to a real surprise.
So just be curious what the coming week will bring – and calculate a few more Euros into your smart home budget.
