Today is Sunday, which means it’s time for my little weekly review. However, since things were a little quiet around Christmas, there isn’t really any news that we can revisit here. Instead, I’d like to take a look at what we can hopefully expect in early 2026.
Now that the new Hue Flux light strips have been on the market for a few weeks and are already being sold at really good prices, for example in Europe in the Christmas sale, we can expect additional accessories in the coming months. I’ve already explained this to you in detail.
- Hue Flux Lightstrip connectors: 4 pieces for €14.99
- Hue Flux Lightstrip corner connectors (90°): 4 pieces for €19.99
- Hue Flux Lightstrip flex connectors (50 cm): 4 pieces for €29.99
Today, I would like to take this opportunity to show you the new connectors again in a short video. Perhaps this will help you plan your upcoming lighting project a little better. The video is recorded in German, but you can use YouTube’s automatic synchronization to watch it in English.
I haven’t seen such a wide selection from any other manufacturer yet. I’m not even aware of manufacturers such as Govee or Nanoleaf offering accessories of this kind. I also know of at least one third-party supplier that is planning even more flexible and modular accessories for the Hue Flux light strip. However, a little patience is required here, as the appropriate connectors first have to be manufactured.
And then there’s the Hue Essential Lightstrip
In the US, the Hue Essential Lightstrip is already available in one length, and I was able to get my hands on one. It will be available in 5 meters for $59.99 (5m Flux officially costs $99.99) and 10 meters for $99.99 (Flux $199.99).
Now that the street prices for the Hue Flux have already fallen significantly, at least here in Germany, the same must happen with the Hue Essential Lightstrip. After all, it is only equipped with RGB LEDs and not with white light-emitting diodes, and is significantly simpler in design.

When will the connectors be available in the UK? I’ve had my 2 flux lights for nearly a month already.
