I used the last few days for a short break before Christmas. With temperatures above 10 degrees, it wasn’t really wintery, but that’s set to change a little in the coming days, at least here in Germany. It’s already a little more wintery in the Philips Hue app.
The eight Christmas scenes we’ve known for a while now are joined by eight more scenes in the new “Winter Whispers” section. There’s at least one familiar scene – Northern Lights has been around for ages – but also lots of new scenes. Here’s a quick overview for you.
These are the eight winter scenes in the Philips Hue app
- Snow capped
- Crystalline
- Fuchsia Frost
- Among the pines
- Arctic aurora
- Winter beauty
- Icy glow
- Midwinter
As always, you can find the scenes in the Hue light scenes gallery. If your Hue app is set to English, you can also use the Hue AI assistant on the home page to search for the new scenes.
And while we’re on the subject of winter and Christmas: things will probably be a little quieter here on the blog until the end of the year. But we’ll be back in full swing in January, because CES in Las Vegas is coming up. Away from the trade show, Philips Hue will also be presenting some news, although the focus here is likely to be on new software solutions rather than new hardware. I’m excited and will of course keep you informed as always.

Hi, I wasn’t sure if my initial email landed in your inbox, so reaching out here too just incase:
Would you be open to a paid blog collaboration? I see you mention smart lighting tips & insights in your posts like ‘A quick light strip tutorial’. This collab’s basically the same idea except it could be any item or brand of your choice from the client list (so probably takes less than five minutes).
I have a client in mind (featuring brands like Philips, Apple, & Best Buy) but would love to talk it out with you, so please lemme know if you want the full details.
