Tomorrow we’re off to Berlin, where the big Hue presentation is scheduled for the evening. The next day, a number of new products are expected to be available in the Philips Hue online store. Shortly before the event, we can take another look at some of the new hardware in the form of new promotional videos. I’m sure these weren’t actually intended for public viewing yet.
Let’s start with a video that our colleagues at Smartlights discovered. It comes from the official Philips Hue YouTube channel and shows the Hue Bridge Pro. It is currently marked as “unlisted,” but can still be viewed via the link.
There are no big surprises, as the Hue Bridge Pro has already been spotted in the wild. Here is an overview of the most important details shown in the video:
- 150+ lamps
- 50+ accessories
- Up to 500 light scenes
- Arm Mali-G31MP2 GPU
- 1.7 GHz quad-core Cortex-A35 CPU

Hue Festavia Permanent also on display
After the Hue Festavia Globe made its small appearance, it’s now the turn of the Hue Festavia Permanent. The string of lights has appeared in a video on Amazon, which you can access via this link.
I can already give you some technical details about the Festavia Permanent. The basic set will include an 18-meter-long string of lights with 32 light points, with each “pod” providing a maximum brightness of 50 lumens.
Unlike the Festavia Globe, the Festavia Permanent comes with extensions that are 9 meters long and have 16 light points each. In total, the system can be extended up to 45 meters to decorate the entire house from the outside.
Where will we be in terms of price? I don’t have any concrete figures yet, but it’s unlikely to be cheap. Especially not in comparison to the competition, because even low-cost brands such as Govee and Eufy offer products of this type.
