With Twilight, Philips Hue has now launched the first lamp on the market that allows you to freely assign scenes and functions to the buttons in the Hue app. With the Philips Hue Go, on the other hand, the operation is predefined. But did you know that you can also set a color of your choice for the popular Hue Go table lamp? This is possible with a very simple trick.
Operating the Hue Go table lamp is child’s play. The first press of the button on the lampshade switches the table lamp on, and each subsequent press of the button automatically switches through the preset scenes. If you press and hold the button for two seconds, the Hue Go switches to standby.
How to easily select your favorite color
But did you know that you can also simply select a color of your choice without having to open the Hue app? Simply press the button twice and then hold it down. The Philips Hue Go table lamp then starts a “color loop” and you simply release your finger at the desired color. Voilà!
I also have another trick for you: If you hold your finger on the button of the table lamp for ten seconds, it switches off completely. This is handy if you want to save some battery life for later. The long press of the button is acknowledged by a small flashing of the Hue Go. The Hue Go can then be switched on again simply by pressing another button.
The Philips Hue Go table lamp, which normally costs 159.99 euros, is not only ideal for use on the patio or balcony, it can also cut a fine figure indoors and be easily used in different places.
