For most of you it is already an old shoe, because the function was already unlocked last week. Now, however, Philips Hue has once again done some fine-tuning and officially introduced the new gradient functions for great colour gradients.
With the update to version 4.5.0 released yesterday, the Hue app has officially been made ready for the new gradient functions, which I have already shown you in a short video here. Here is the update description from the App Store:
Customize your gradient lights the way you like! This update gives you complete control over your gradient lights:
• Gradient lights now have three distinct icons on the color wheel, each corresponding to a different section of the light. Drag each icon to create new combinations of color.
• In an Entertainment area, position your gradient lights not only by height and location but the way they’re directed at the TV.
And if it’s really up your alley, you can now control Philips Hue’s Gradient products with the Bluetooth app and of course create colour gradients there as well.
I would also like to take a look ahead. As far as I know, the update to version 4.6 of the Hue app will unlock the already promised 120 hertz feature for the HDMI Sync Box, which should be particularly interesting for users of the current generation of consoles.
