After a steady stream of small new functions in recent weeks, such as starting automations via switches, an integrated search for rooms, zones and light sources, or automatic alarms for the Hue Secure System, today’s update for the Philips Hue app leaves us empty-handed. For the sake of completeness, however, I would like to mention the update to version 5.24 of the Philips Hue app.
At the beginning of July, Signify, the manufacturer of Philips Hue, announced its partnership with the Mercedes Formula 1 team. With the iOS app iConnectHue (App Store-Link), you can control your smart lighting system even more conveniently and benefit from many additional functions. The developer is always on the ball and is now delivering the next update to version 5.6, which is now available for download. Support for Hue Twilight: iConnectHue is the first 3rd party app to fully support the Hue Twilight.
After Aurelle and Surimu, Philips Hue presented two more LED panels for the ceiling in June: Hue Tento and Hue Datura. Today we want to take a detailed look at the Philips Hue Datura, which I have already been able to install in my home.

The first images of the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box 8K appeared online over a year ago. At the time, someone probably made a mistake and uploaded the product images of the new generation to the product page of the previous model. Since then, it has been quiet around the new Sync Box.
