Philips Hue has released another update for its app this afternoon – and it includes an interesting innovation for the dynamic scenes. Among other things, this affects their use in conjunction with a switch or automation. The setting can be activated for each individual scene. To do this, simply select a scene that has already been saved in a room or zone and click on the Edit button.
It is one of the new releases I was particularly looking forward to: The new Philips Hue Lightguide series. These are E27 light bulbs with White and Color Ambiance technology, which are equipped with a light bulb inside and have an extravagant look. There are three different shapes to start with: Globe, Triangular and Ellipse.

And what can I say? No Philips Hue light bulbs have ever been so beautiful. At the start, there will be three different versions, and two more models will probably follow later.
Yesterday afternoon Philips Hue released another update of its app. Three new features are included in the update, one of which I was able to announce a few weeks ago: You can now share scenes with friends. However, Apple users in particular have to pay attention to one detail. To share a scene, first activate it and then tap on the three small dots next to the scene icon.
This function has been included in Hue Labs for some time now, and will soon also be found in the automations of the Hue app: Mimic Presence. The presence simulation is supposed to increase the security of your home when you are not at home. In any case, security is a topic that Philips Hue will probably deal with even more intensively this year.
About a month ago I was able to tell you that Samsung was working on Hue Sync support for its TVs. Unfortunately, I now have some bad news for you, as Samsung's connection with Philips Hue turns out to be less extensive than initially thought. In a statement to SamMobile, Samsung revealed: “In the coming months, we hope to announce more details of an expanded partnership between Samsung SmartThings and Philips Hue that will provide enhanced music experiences.”
Yesterday afternoon, Philips Hue released the next update. Version 4.23 of the official Hue app is now available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The scene search, which was already briefly available in version 4.22, has also returned. At that time, it was also possible to find and activate a dynamic daylight scene that was actually not yet available.
