Hue weekly: The Christmas scenes are back

My personal blog

Apart from the numerous Black Friday deals I collected for hueblog.de this week, it has been pretty quiet over the last few days. Even the biweekly mandatory update for the Philips Hue app turned out to be pretty small. “Various bug fixes and stability improvements” is all that the update description for version 5.56.0 of the Hue app says.

Many of us are waiting for the multi-bridge migration around the new Hue Bridge Pro to be activated, but we still need to be patient. It can’t be long now, as the feature is supposed to be released this year. And Christmas is just around the corner.

In keeping with this, I noticed at least one small new feature in the Hue app. With the latest update, the ten Christmas scenes are back. You can find them at the top of the Hue light scenes gallery. They weren’t really gone, though; you could find them all year round using the scene name in the search function or the English AI assistant. Now it’s just a little easier during the Christmas season. My favorite, by the way, is “Rosy sparkle.” Which Philips Hue Christmas scene do you like best?

Here’s an overview of the scenes:

And don’t forget: Until Monday, you can purchase numerous products at special prices directly from Philips Hue around the globe. All information about the Black Friday promotion can be found directly on the promotion page.
