There are only two weeks left until it gets really spooky again. Halloween is just around the corner, and the right lighting will make it even scarier. After the Halloween scenes have already been launched in the Philips Hue app, they are now also available in iConnectHue.

iConnectHue not only offers scenes, but also an entire Halloween animation set. The short sequences are even more dynamic than the scenes from Philips Hue itself. The sequences in iConnectHue last between 5 and 40 seconds and can not only be started manually, but also assigned to switches or other accessories.

While members have free access to the animation sets all year round, the Halloween package is available free of charge to all iConnectHue users until mid-November. And it has even been expanded again this year: with Blood Moon and Abyss, two new spooky scenes are now available.

Further improvements in iConnectHue 5.13

With the latest update, developer Stefan Göhler has made further improvements. If you use iConnectHue on your iPad, you can now benefit from multitasking support.

“The window size of the app can now be adjusted and the content adapts accordingly. This allows you to use iConnectHue together with other app windows – we will further optimize the behavior in certain situations in future versions,” the developer informs us. Incidentally, the new feature is available free of charge.

There is also good news for all Hue fans from the Netherlands, some of whom read the Hueblog here. After all, it is the home country of Philips Hue. iConnectHue now offers Dutch localization.

Over the last few years, I've become a real expert when it comes to Hue & HomeKit. I now have over 50 lamps and numerous switches in use. I'm happy to share my experiences with you in my little blog.
