This week, it was that time again: Philips Hue launched a new product. The Hue Flux Lightstrip had already been announced, of course, but now it’s available to buy. It arrived in the Philips Hue online store on Tuesday – and a good 24 hours later, I had it in my hands.
The Hue Bridge Pro was shipped just as quickly. And shipping of the new E27 bulbs via the online store was also extremely fast. Here in Germany, Philips Hue sends its packages with UPS, and that works really well, at least here in Bochum.
Why am I mentioning this? In the past, this wasn’t the case. Three or four years ago, it was purely a matter of luck whether a product was even available from Philips Hue. And even then, shipping, usually from somewhere in Poland, often took several days. Some time ago, they apparently made the right adjustments, which is now having a positive effect.
But what I’m really interested in is: what’s the situation outside Germany? Hueblog readers from Austria and Switzerland, but also from the Netherlands, the UK, and the US, are welcome to share their experiences. Feel free to write in the comments how your last orders from the Philips Hue online shop went. I look forward to your feedback!

Hi Fabian,
I’m in the UK.
My Bridge Pro arrived within 3 days and a later order was also within the same time frame.
They appear to have come from London and like you have come by UPS.
Delivery was never really slow when dispatched from mainland Europe but it’s slightly quicker now.
Keep up the good work with your great blog.
All the best,
Pete
I’m from Argentina. I have purchased the starter set which includes the pro plus 3 a60 E27 smart lamps from Amazon Germany at 168 euros plus postage plus import taxes for a total of 225 euros placed in Argentina. Bridge pro on its own was not available. Receiving it tomorrow.
What I found interesting is that I could have also purchased in Amazon USA since the bulbs are 110/240 volts, 50/60 hz compatible which is new to Philips. We have 220 volts here.
Due to various reasons including import fees did not try to buy directly from Philips EU and in Argentina this model is not available.
Cheers
Miguel
I’m in the US and my order for the Hub Pro bundle was very slow to ship. It took over a week to get to me after I placed the order, but it didn’t ship from the warehouse for about 5 days. This was noticeably slower than most orders I’ve placed with Hue which usually arrive to me in 2-3 days.
To make matters worse, when I ordered the Hub Pro by itself, it was crushed in-transit so I had to return it…which I still haven’t received a refund for over a week later. And my order records don’t show the return status anymore so I’ll probably have to contact customer support if I manage to find the time during the week. This is the first time I’ve returned a Hue order, but it’s not going well.
