Signify has introduced the Philips Hue Sync TV app for LG TVs. Now available worldwide on compatible LG models, the app allows users to synchronize their Philips Hue smart lights with on-screen action for a fully immersive viewing experience.
A Seamless Surround Lighting Experience
Designed as a native smart TV app, the Philips Hue Sync TV app dynamically adjusts the brightness and color of Hue lights in real time, creating a surround lighting effect that enhances movies, shows, and games. The app integrates directly into LG TVs, enabling users to sync their lights with content from set-top boxes, streaming devices, native TV apps like Netflix and Disney+, and gaming consoles.
Supporting multiple image formats, including 8K, 4K, HDR 10, and Dolby Vision, the app ensures a premium visual experience. With a proprietary synchronization algorithm and the renowned responsiveness of the Philips Hue system, users can enjoy smooth and engaging lighting effects.
“We’re thrilled to bring the Philips Hue Sync TV app to LG TVs, making it even easier for users to enhance their home entertainment experience,” says John Smith, Business Leader at Philips Hue. “This partnership reinforces our commitment to integrating Philips Hue into the smart home ecosystem.”

It’s also for 2022 TVs with webos24 installed not just 2024 and above tvs
Not from comments I am seeing online. I’ve no interests in this as have a fancyleds system but I can’t see the app on my tv, and it is upgraded
LG TVs from 2024 and later? Utterly disappointing. Not to mention the crazy pricing (as expected from Hue).
Gutted. Been waiting for this upgraded to WebOS 24 and they’ve locked it to 24 model TVs. Going to have to root the TV now.
Same here with a C2. Does root access allow to install it ?
No it gives you access to HyperHDR which is very good and free
Samsung has this on tvs from 2022 does this means that their tvs are more advanced? 😀
There is still plenty of LG 2023 tvs on the market at major retailers.
No it gives you access to HyperHDR which is very good and free
What happens to the license if you have to replace the TV under warranty?
Got a C2 with last WebOS 24 update
does this works?
What’s the difference with the hardware box?
same latency? same color compatibility? (DoVi / HDR10)? same frame rate compatibility?
Reply to myself,
The app is NOT available on C2 with webOS 24
Yesterday i called LG customer service (i live in Italy), and they checked in real time that Philips Hue app not yet available in the app store. Need to wait more days.
Fully available to me (Spain) since yesterday and working fine on a G4
Ciao ai chiesto per il C2 ? Grazie
This serves me right for buying a C3 a month ago based on reports that that app would be compatible with all webOS 24 TVs. I’ll just stick with my sync box, although I’ve always had compatibility issues running an Apple TV through it. I was hoping this would bypass those.
Not available in Greece. Very disappointing.
I have problems when I want to buy the subscription in Mexico, it says that Apple does not allow purchases or subscriptions, despite meeting all the requirements
con webos 24 con c2 non
È compatibile in Italia al ces era stato detto dai modelli 2022 in poi con webos 24 o speso soldi per altri luci come
