The Philips Hue team continues to work hard on software development. After an update for almost all Hue lights was released last week – I have already summarised the new features of software version 1.122.2 for you – it is now the turn of the Hue Bridge again. The Philips Hue control centre has actually received an update every month since July 2023. The software version 1967054010 was released on 10 October.

Following the last new functions for the Hue Bridge in September, the current release notes read a little cryptically. Firstly, there are the usual improvements to the performance and stability of the system. And then Philips Hue provides the following note for you.

“We’ll start to roll out new firmware in the next few days. To ensure your Bridge is updated correctly, make sure that automatic updates are enabled in the Hue app and that you update the app to the latest version via your mobile device’s app store”, it says on the Hue website.

Does this note now apply to further, future updates or the software version 1967054010 mentioned in the release notes? Unfortunately, I’m not sure either. However, a look at my three Philips Hue Bridges shows that all three are currently still running the software version 1966117030, which was released on 16 September.

If anything changes and there are any new features worth mentioning, you will of course be informed here on the Hueblog. I’m also expecting another update this week with version 5.28 of the Philips Hue app. However, the long-awaited multi-bridge support will probably not be activated with the upcoming update, so a little patience is still required here.

Check your local Philips Hue Online StoreΒ for availability of Hue products in your country.Β There you will also find all the technical information and prices.
