Yesterday evening, Philips Hue released another update of its in-house application in the App Store. Version 4.37 is now available and it includes another feature for the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box.

“You can now set up Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa voice commands for the Philips Hue Play HDMI sync box in the Philips Hue app”, the update description for version 4.37 reads.

The function is not new, but until now it was only possible to set it up via the Hue Sync app. This app is to disappear from the App Store after the integration of all functions into the normal Hue app.

Are the data from switches and sensors back?

It would be interesting to hear from you whether the last actions of switches and sensors are displayed again in the settings under accessories. After all, around 85 per cent of you said that this data was no longer available in version 4.36.

Over the last few years, I've become a real expert when it comes to Hue & HomeKit. I now have over 50 lamps and numerous switches in use. I'm happy to share my experiences with you in my little blog.

  1. I have version 4.37 on my Android now and I still don’t see the last action for my accessories in the settings.

  2. Last action still not working but I’m having high hopes about the upcoming update, as Philips Hue officially promised the fix.
