In contrast to the past years, when Philips Hue always had numerous exciting outdoor novelties in its luggage at the beginning of the year, things are a bit more leisurely in 2022. Today, Philips Hue officially presented two new products, although they are not that new.
It starts with the Philips Hue Calla, one of the oldest outdoor lights from Philips Hue. As already announced by me in December, the Calla will soon also be available in silver. The low-voltage base lamp with stainless steel housing will be available from 8 February for 139.99 euros – without the outdoor power supply unit required for operation.
The second “novelty” is the Philips Hue Inara. The wall lamp with the classic look has already been available outside Europe for years and has also been slightly revised for the market launch in Germany & Co. Thus, the wall lamp is not equipped with a classic Hue White E27, but with a warm white filament lamp. This fits optically quite well from my point of view. The price for the Hue Inara will be 99.99 euros.
Official announcements around the Philips Hue app
In the first quarter of 2022, new effects will also be added to the Philips Hue app. The “Candle” and “Fireplace” options imitate the light of an elegant candle and a crackling fireplace. Newer generation Hue light bulbs will be required to use this feature. All lamps equipped with ZigBee and Bluetooth are to be supported.
