It’s time for a few updates again. The next version of the Philips Hue app, this time likely without any major new features, is expected to be released later this week. Updates for the Hue Bridge Pro and the standard Hue Bridge are already being rolled out. In addition, information is finally available regarding the update for numerous Hue lights.

“We’ve made some minor changes behind the scenes to help your Hue Bridge (Pro) work even better,” reads the update description for version 2071318010 for the Hue Bridge Pro and 1977090000 for the Hue Bridge.

Update for Hue lights was released weeks ago

Since February, I’ve been receiving regular reports from you that updates are available for various Hue lights. Unfortunately, Philips Hue has not yet provided any feedback on exactly what has been improved or changed with the update. Unlike the regular updates for the control hubs, the lights are actually updated very rarely.

The Hue lights on hardware platforms 100b-112, 100b-114, 100b-115, 100b-11a, 100b-11d, and 100b-11f are being updated to software versions 1.145.1 and 1.145.2. According to Philips Hue, this update includes bug fixes as well as improvements related to stability and security.
The Hue lights on hardware platforms 100b-104, 100b-105, 100b-108, 100b-10b, 100b-10c, 100b-10e, and 100b-10f have been updated to software versions 1.116.12 and 67.116.12, respectively, over the past few weeks. In addition to the improvements mentioned above, network stability when used with the Hue Bridge Pro has also been enhanced.

You usually don’t need to do anything for these updates. Simply enable automatic updates in the Philips Hue app settings and keep your devices plugged in. The rest happens automatically.
