Philips Hue is really hitting the ground running this year when it comes to light strips. I’ve already introduced you to the new premium model, which will also be launched in Europe in November. The Hue OmniGlow leaves the competition standing and is already available in the US. However, the Hue Flux offers maximum brightness.
This is also no longer an unknown product; I have already introduced you to the normal version of the Hue Flux. Today sees the launch of the Hue Flux Ultra Bright Gradient Lightstrip, the souped-up and even brighter version of the light strip.
This is how bright the pimped-up Hue Flux Lightstrip is
While the normal Hue Flux Lightstrip reached its limit at a maximum of 2,000 lumens, the ultra-bright Flux Lightstrip achieves up to 6,000 lumens. This makes it the brightest product from Philips Hue, surpassing even the Hue Ensis pendant light with its 5,500 lumens.
The ultra-bright Hue Flux light strip offers 6,000 lumens in the 10-meter version for €249.99. That corresponds to 600 lumens per meter. But it gets even brighter: the 5-meter ultra-bright Hue Flux has 4,800 lumens (960 lumens per meter) and costs €149.99. The three-meter version for €99.99 has 2,900 lumens (966 lumens per meter).
The three versions of the Hue Flux Ultra Bright Gradient Lightstrip
- 3 meters for €99.99: 2,900 lumens at 29 watts
- 5 meters for €149.99: 4,800 lumens at 48 watts (already available)
- 10 meters for €249.99: 6,000 lumens at 60 watts
With an LED spacing of only 2.75 centimeters and the integrated gradient function, the ultra-bright Hue Flux is also well equipped in other respects. It can be shortened every 16.6 centimeters and also extended again. However, the necessary connectors (such as a 90-degree angle) are not yet available. Unfortunately, Philips Hue has not yet been able to give me an exact date.
If you would like to order the new Hue Flux Ultra Bright Gradient Lightstrip for one of your lighting projects, you can do so now in the Philips Hue online store. The light strip is now available in Europe. It will not be available in the US until March 2026.
