Update for iOS and Android

Before I take a look at what Philips Hue has to offer at IFA this evening, let’s take a quick look at the latest update to the Philips Hue app. It primarily brings further improvements for the Hue Secure system.

“You’ll now only receive one push notification per video clip – even if there are multiple objects (e.g., person, animal, vehicle, or package) in the clip”, reads the update description in the App Store. “The notification will update based on the most notable object the camera detects.”

The iOS update is now also available

While version 5.25 of the Philips Hue app is already available to download from the Google Play Store, iPhone and iPad users will have to wait a little longer. The update is still pending here. However, it will presumably have the same range of functions – if not, there will be another update for you here.

Update: Late this evening, the update for iPhone and iPad was also released in the Apple App Store. The range of functions is identical.
