Yesterday I already drew your attention to the latest update of the Philips Hue app. Version 5.21 brings some new features, including the ability to start sleep automation at the touch of a button on a Hue switch. But how exactly does this work and what do you need to bear in mind?
With the update to version 5.19 of its app, Philips Hue has introduced several new functions, including the ability to combine several motion sensors into a group. For another new feature, however, I had to do some more research: “Start a ‘Go to sleep’ automation not only in the app, but also by pressing a button on a Hue switch or an iOS widget.”
This function has been included in Hue Labs for some time now, and will soon also be found in the automations of the Hue app: Mimic Presence. The presence simulation is supposed to increase the security of your home when you are not at home. In any case, security is a topic that Philips Hue will probably deal with even more intensively this year.
