The update of the Philips Hue app to version 5.6, which is expected before Christmas, is still a long way off. However, new firmware for the Hue Bridge has been released in the last few days. You may have already received version 1961135030. You can check this in the settings of the Hue app.
In my case, one of three Bridges has been updated so far, but there is no particular need to rush. In the release notes, Philips Hue only writes about this update: “Improved performance and reliability of the system.”
As is so often the case, no details are revealed. However, I was able to find out a little something. One user wrote on Reddit that after updating the bridge, a Matter connection in the Apple Home app indicates when a battery-powered device such as the Hue dimmer switch is almost empty.
With the previous update in November, Philips Hue added HomeKit support for the Hue Secure contact sensor.

Philips Hue app 4.5? We are already on 5.5
Sorry, I meant 5.6, which is out now.
I am a developer working with the hue API, and the battery level indication has already been there in the spec in v2 and it’s been coming through for me for a while. My motion sensors report battery level. Maybe that user’s home kit updated?
Yet I still cannot get my hue to connect with Google home after unlinking
