Hueblog: Hue Sync and Hue Bluetooth removed from the App Store

Hue Sync and Hue Bluetooth removed from the App Store

All functions now in one app

It’s not a big surprise and it was already announced. But I don’t want to withhold this little announcement from you, because then we can put the issue to bed. Philips Hue has recently removed the Hue Bluetooth app and the Hue Sync app from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

The functions of both applications were integrated into the actual Philips Hue app some time ago. In the meantime, all functions should actually be united under one roof.

The Hue Sync app was launched in autumn 2019 together with the Philips Hue Play HMDI Sync Box. The latter is of course still available on the market and we are eagerly awaiting its successor. The Bluetooth app was released a few months earlier in summer 2019, when Philips Hue launched the first light sources with ZigBee and Bluetooth.
