FabianAt the beginning of the month, Philips Hue announced it, and now, according to official statements on various social media platforms, the time has come. Although there is still nothing to be read in the release notes, which are never updated very quickly – it should, however, be possible to use the Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box with a refresh rate of 120 hertz with the latest firmware update.
Those who are now looking forward to brilliantly smooth 4K gaming with their PlayStation 5 or current Xbox should be warned: there is a small restriction. The Sync Box only supports the 120 hertz at a resolution of 1080p and 1440p. For 4K content, the maximum is still 60 hertz.
