Hue Essentials (App Store link) is at the top of our readers’ poll. Besides iConnectHue for iOS and the official Philips Hue app, Hue Essentials is also used by many readers.
The iOS version of Hue Essentials has been further optimized and is now also available on the Apple Watch. You can access your rooms, lamps, scenes and more directly on your wrist.
I personally prefer to switch my lamps by voice command via Alexa or Siri. The control via Apple Watch is a nice extra, but I will only rarely use it.
Hue Essentials is a free download, premium features have to be paid with 6.99 euros. If you want to control several bridges, you pay 4.49 euros. Additional effects are at 1.09 euros each.
