The application iConnectHue (App Store link) for iPhone and iPad, which is now partly subscription-based, has received its first functional update after the major upgrade a few months ago. It comes with the exclusive long print, which I already presented to you a few weeks ago. What else there is to discover? We will tell you in this article.
Exclusive long button press
(Available with Upgrade Level 1, any membership, including buyers of version 4)
Up to now, a long keystroke was always followed by the action for the short keystroke. With the Hue dimmer switch, Hue Smart Button and the Lutron Aurora, the long button press can now also be executed exclusively.
Light Migration Wizard
(Available with Pro Membership)
You want to change from an old generation to a newer model or replace a different light source? Now it’s even easier with the new Light Migration Wizard in iConnectHue. The wizard can migrate the old lamp’s settings for all groups, scenes, widget entries, its name and even its starting behaviour to the new lamp.
Scene cleanup function
(Available with Upgrade Level 1, any membership, including buyers of version 4)
From now on, scenes are not only displayed in the basic resources, you can also delete them more easily in the settings to create space on the bridge.
Multiple daylight timers per group
(Requires a base with current firmware)
From now on, the sunrise and sunset functions can be used separately for week and weekend. It is also easier to change between different activated timers. Each group now allows multiple daylight timers.
Shake for random scene
(Available with Upgrade Level 1, any membership, including buyers of version 4)
If you shake your device in the scenes, magic scenes or animations view you can activate a random scene. Also new: as soon as you have activated a Magic Scene and press its icon you can randomly distribute its colors.
Other improvements in iConnectHue 4.1
- Rename Widget Entries
- More accurate colors with Drag & Drop from old to new color lamps
- The Celsius/Fahrenheit setting in the iOS settings is now taken into account
- Support for new Immax and Innr luminaires
- More Hue lamp types are recognized (Is your icon still missing? Write us and tell us the lamp!)
- Disable now works by swiping right – on devices and timers swipe right to see the button, swipe far right to execute disable directly
- Timers typically use less resources from now on
- Problem solved with slow fading timers with random time (please delete and re-create them)
