New video: first impression of the new Hue Smart Button

A quick article regarding Berlin: During the IFA I was able to take a closer look at the new Philips Hue Smart Button.

Yesterday, I already forwarded some information about the Philips Hue Smart Button. Nevertheless, I didn’t miss the opportunity to pay a visit to the colleagues from Signify, who invited us to a hotel suite away from the IFA.

The result is the following small video of the new Philips Hue Smart Button which will be on sale for 19.99 Euro during October.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to take a look at the app’s configuration myself. However, the first long keystroke dims the light. If you press the button a second time for a long time, the brightness is increased. If I noticed it correctly, the light is also switched off if you press the button again after a longer pause. If you press the button several times in a row, you can switch through different scenes with the Smart Button.

This little button makes a big impact. A single click controls your lights, while pressing and holding the button dims or brightens them. Better yet: your lights will turn on to our recommended color and brightness based on the time of day.
